Twitch streamer Emily "Emiru" has gone viral on social media after throwing the first pitch in a game between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. On June 10, 2025, the content creator attended the MLB game while cosplaying as a character from the South Korean action role-playing game, Goddess of Victory: Nikke.
At the four-hour mark of her IRL broadcast, Emiru threw the first pitch of the game, and the moment quickly started trending on platforms such as Reddit, X, and TikTok.
Over 152 netizens on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit have shared their thoughts on the OTK (One True King) member's appearance at the MLB game.
"Better than 50 Cent," Redditor u/jdxon88 stated.
One community member praised Emiru's attempt to throw the first pitch.
"Considering how nervous she was before, she actually did a pretty good job throwing the ball!" Redditor u/AnthonyBTC wrote.
Twitch streamer Jason "TheStockGuy" also chimed in with his views.
"Stephen A Smith punching air right now," TheStockGuy commented.
Many more fans had a lot to say about the moment.
"Did way better than some athletes from other sports that I’ve seen throw first pitches. Such a cool opportunity for her," Redditor u/Lytaa replied.
"I gotta say as a Brit, seeing the behind the scenes made baseball look interesting. It's basically like cricket except better stands and food in the stands, I guess," Redditor u/appletinicyclone remarked.
"Certainly not the worst first pitch of all time lol, at least it made it to the catcher," Redditor u/Shadd518 posted.
