Tesla CEO and owner of X, Elon Musk, sometimes uses his platforms to share opinions on the streaming world. In the past, Musk promoted X as a streaming platform, interacted with Twitch's CEO Dan Clancy, and commented under prominent streamers' posts. Recently, Elon agreed with the results of a poll shared by @Awk20000 on X, which asked users to pick the "best political streamer right now."
The four polling options named some of the most prominent names in the live political commentary space, including Zack "Asmongold," Destiny, Ethan Klein, and HasanAbi. Results showed Asmongold taking the majority, gaining 62% of the votes. Destiny came in second with 24%, while Klein got 10% and ranked third. HasanAbi came last, with only 4% voting for him.
In response to the polls' results, Elon had one word, suggesting that he considered Asmon to be the best when it comes to sharing political viewpoints:
"True."
Looking at the history between Asmongold and Elon Musk
Interestingly enough, Elon Musk's thoughts on Asmongold have not always been as positive.
In early 2025, Asmongold called out Elon Musk amidst the latter's Path of Exile 2 controversy. Essentially, the Tesla CEO had brought his character to an impressive level 97 rank in the game. However, many online questioned this achievement and questioned whether Musk had achieved this level through his own efforts.
Zack also expressed disbelief in Musk's rank:
"There is no way he played that account. I'm sorry. I think he bought the account or somebody played it for him a hundred f**king percent."
Musk then clapped back and suggested that Asmongold's content did not come independently, despite the streamer allegedly claiming to be a "maverick."
"Asmon behaves like a maverick 'independent', but in reality has to ask his boss for permission before he can do anything. He is not his own man."
In response to Elon's X post, HasanAbi, who typically maintains an argumentative relationship with Asmon, defended his fellow political commentator.:
"You have more money than anyone else and you’re fighting internet battles because nerds who otherwise love you found out you were boosting your account on a videogame."
Asmon himself responded soon after and expressed his disapproval of Musk's actions, stating:
"Leaking my DM's is one thing but this is absolutely uncalled for."
In other news, HasanAbi responded to Asmon's revelation that he earned $40,000 from just two streams on Kick by saying that "only weirdos stream on Kick."
