Twitch star Kai Cenat has responded to criticism he received for recently wearing American rapper Ken Carson's chain. For context, on August 13, 2024, the two-time Streamer of the Year award winner shared a photo of himself wearing a Ken Carson X chain on his alternate Instagram handle, kc3hidd3n. The picture has garnered over 144,000 likes, sparking speculation among fans about Cenat's potential collaboration with the 24-year-old musician.
During a livestream on August 14, 2024, Cenat responded to people seemingly hating on him for wearing Ken Carson's chain. Claiming that he and the rapper have been good friends for a few months, the New Yorker said:
"Anybody wondering, 'Oh, my god! How does Kai have Ken's chain?' Bro, you've got to understand that me and Ken are build like this for a few months now. Like, I've met him multiple times, didn't I tell you all n****s? Literally! Ken is one of the coolest n****s. Literally, bro. And we've been talking for a little minute, bruh! You feel me? Also... no, I'm not opium. I'm not opium."
Cenat added:
"Literally, bro. And we've been talking for a little minute, bruh! You feel me? Also... no, I'm not opium. I'm not opium, chat. N***a, that's why I've been keeping s**t to myself because the d**k-riding has to stop!"

During the same Twitch broadcast, Kai Cenat made some bold claims, saying the New York City Police Department (NYPD) refused to protect the area where he was scheduled to attend a Nike basketball event. The content creator said:
"Chat, you all want to know some crazy s**t? Bro, Nike had a New York vs New York event. But look, I was supposed to have my own, like, it was supposed to be Team Druski vs Team Kai. Right? But NYPD told Nike, 'If Kai shows up for the event, we will not protect the event, and y'all have to be on your own.' So, I couldn't go to that event because the police didn't want to do the job that they were supposed to do."
Kai Cenat jokingly added that he was "allowed" to host another giveaway. For those unaware, the Twitch streamer made headlines in August 2023 after a riot broke out during his giveaway in New York City.
He said:
"So, what does that mean? I'm allowed to do another giveaway because all I've got to do is ask the NYPD for permission. They're going to deny me, and I can do it, and I can be like, 'I asked those n****s!'"
In other news, Kai Cenat recently revealed that he purchased a Cartier luxury watch worth approximately $200,000.
