A clip of Twitch star Sodapoppin postponing the sessions of his World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore guild, OnlyFangs, has garnered significant attention on social media. While the streamer did not disclose exactly why he was pushing them back by a month from October to November, he insinuated that he had come across some information about the addon or the game that's inaccessible to the public.
For context, the Classic Hardcore addon for World of Warcraft is used by players looking for a more challenging experience. It disables certain in-game features while also enabling permanent deaths.
The OnlyFangs guild, started by Sodapoppin, gained a lot of popularity online as it featured other popular content creators such as xQc, Mizkif, and Pokimane, who briefly played together.
Regardless, it seems that this year's iteration of OnlyFangs will not start until November 2024, as explained by Sodapoppin in a clip from his latest livestream on September 5, 2024.
Sodapoppin suggests he has a good reason to postpone OnlyFangs World of Warcraft Hardcore mode sessions
During his livestream, Sodapoppin revealed that he had good and bad news regarding the World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore OnlyFangs guild. The streamer explained that he would be reading out to his viewers what he had already informed the guild members via Discord chat.
He claimed that there was a "legitimate reason" why the guild should start their regular sessions in November and not October:
"Okay, I am going to read what I posted in the OnlyFangs Discord. Um, okay, I am going to just read what I wrote word for word. What I said, '@everyone Hey guys I know we planned on doing OnlyFangs in October. However, good news and bad news. There is a very legitimate reason that we should start in November.'"
Sodapopopin added that while he could not share the actual reason behind the decision, the members should trust him:
"I cannot get into details. But please, trust me that is the 100% best call for everyone. So that's what we are going to do. So that's it. I cannot say anything else on that subject."
This has naturally spawned a lot of speculation among fans, with many trying to decipher what Sodapoppin could have meant.
After the clip was shared on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit, some Redditors mused whether the streamer knew about upcoming updates to the game servers.
"So this is classic fresh basically right? Like there is literally nothing on this planet besides fresh servers that would get Soda to delay this reboot. He has been talking about it and the October date for 2 months now and everytime he talks about it he mentions heavily that he wishes they had a fresh server to do it on", speculated Redditor @DanielMoore0515.
"The title makes it sound like it's drama related but it's probably just something to do with an update that the mod or hardcore is getting next month that Soda can't talk about because of an NDA", mused @SingSillySongs.
Speculation aside, it seems that fans have to wait till November to watch their favorite streamers play World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore in the OnlyFangs guild.
