A video of Twitch streamer Zack "Asmongold" in which he said the use of lethal force is "completely okay" amid the ongoing anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles has surfaced. During a livestream on June 10, 2025, Asmongold was reviewing posts on his official subreddit when his attention was drawn to a Twitch user who wrote the following in the Twitch chat:
"shoot protester legs that throw things at officers, then no argument for lethal force"
In response, the Texan stated that the netizen did not understand how human anatomy works.
"Well, if you're saying to shoot somebody's legs so that they are not lethal, all that you're really saying is that you don't understand human anatomy. Which is okay. I mean it's, you know, that's not your job, but I would recommend looking into it, and then seeing the way that, like obviously, a person's legs are. And, like, where the arteries are and how that works. Right? What happens when you shoot somebody in the leg?"
A few moments later, Asmongold expressed his belief that the use of lethal force is "totally justified":
"'Shooting legs is hard.' Yeah, it definitely is. Yeah, no, as I said, again, I totally think lethal force is completely okay. I'm totally justified in it. I think they're totally justified."
"You should shoot them to kill them" - Asmongold says shooting someone to wound them is "ridiculous"
At the 19-minute mark of his Just Chatting livestream, Asmongold continued the discussion about lethal force, stating that people who intend to shoot others should do so with the goal of "killing them."
The former OTK (One True King) member described the act of shooting to wound someone as "ridiculous" and remarked:
"If you're going to shoot somebody, you should never shoot somebody to wound them; you should only shoot them to kill them. Like, really, that's my viewpoint. Shooting to wound is ridiculous, and it's going to end up hurting other people. You're not going to shoot somebody with a gun and then, 'Oh, I hope it doesn't kill you.' Like, this is insane! Then don't shoot them with a gun. What a crazy thing to say! 'Center of mass.' Yeah, exactly!"

In other news, Asmongold has accused Twitch of showing "blatant bias" toward Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker by not banning the political commentator after he attended anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles.
