Twitch content creator Connor "ConnorEatsPants" hosted former United States Congressman George Santos as a special guest in the latest stream of his gaming series, Fortnite Friday. As the name of the series suggests, the broadcast involved Santos and ConnorEatsPants playing Fortnite together while discussing a variety of topics, including guns, extraterrestrial beings, and "cancel culture".
The live stream was broadcast simultaneously on both ConnorEatsPants' YouTube and Twitch channels. The streamer also posted on X on October 5, 2024, thanking the political figure for coming onto his broadcast:
"Thank you for the biggest Fortnite Friday yet with former Congressman George Santos (@MrSantosNY) Productive dialogue. Hope everyone enjoyed. Thanks for the love. Next guest will not be a political figure, probably. "
In the clip accompanying this post, Santos can be heard responding to the streamer questioning the "need" for AR-15s:
"I mean, aren't you using a make-believe AR-15 in your game?... I try to draw this parallel, it's like, why do you need that in a video game?"

To those unaware, George Santos is a former politician and congressman who had served as New York's 3rd congressional district before being expelled. A convicted felon, he has pleaded guilty to committing wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, with his sentencing scheduled in 2025. Santos is also one of the first Republican candidates to be open about their LGBTQ+ orientation before getting admission into Congress.
In the video, Twitch streamer ConnorEatsPants and George Santos seemed to have found common ground over their love for Pokemon, with both revealing that it was their "obsession" for the series that led to them getting diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The streamer stated:
"I got diagnosed like on the spectrum when I was younger, strictly because of like, my Pokemon obsession."
George Santos responded by revealing that he had been diagnosed in the same way:
"So, that was actually my diagnosis was by a Pokemon admission too... You unlocked memories that I had not spoken about in a long, long time."
ConnorEatsPants also talked with Tiger King celebrity, Joe Exotic, as part of a Fortnite Friday stream on August 30, 2024. The two had a heated exchange on call as the streamer questioned Joe Exotic regarding his handling of his tigers, and stated that the tigers could "have been treated better."
