Yung Filly faces two new charges in his ongoing case in Australia
Rapper Yung Filly continues to find himself in deep waters as new charges are being mounted against him in his sexual assault case in Australia. The alleged incident had taken place while he had been touring the country last year.
Previously, the police had reportedly obtained evidence substantiating the incident as well, including CCTV footage. Furthermore, the prosecutors have previously also presented photographic evidence of the alleged victim's body, which supposedly indicated violent and non-consensual acts having been carried out against her.
For his case in Perth, Yung Filly had been extradited from Brisbane, Queensland, to the aforementioned city. The new allegations made against him of sexual penetration without consent have not had any pleas entered for them yet by the musician.
These are not the only allegations currently being faced by Yung Filly, as he is also reportedly being investigated in Spain. During his time there, the 29-year-old had allegedly forced himself onto a British tourist after they met at one of his concerts in Magaluf, Majorca.
Barrientos' case in Australia is due to be heard at a 10-day trial starting from July 20, 2026, with him out on bail in the country since October 2024.
While on bail in November 2024, Yung Filly was caught driving at 158 km/h (98 mph) in a 100 km/h (62 mph) zone on a Perth highway, and eventually pleaded guilty to a reckless driving charge. His vehicle has subsequently been impounded.
