Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese continues to enthrall hoops fans with eye-catching performances in her first season in professional basketball. Reese notched yet another milestone on Friday during Chicago Sky's 88-84 win over the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena. The former LSU superstar registered her 12th consecutive double-double game on July 5.
Reese tied former WNBA superstar Candace Parker's record for most consecutive double-double games in history. The most astonishing part about Reese tying Parker's record was that the Sky rookie scripted history after playing just 19 WNBA games.
Reese further solidified her candidacy for the Rookie of the Year award after leading Chicago to an emphatic win.
Reese played 31 minutes against the Storm and filled up the stat sheet, scoring a career-high 27 points on the night.
She also grabbed 10 rebounds, seven of which came on the offensive end. The star rookie added two assists and two steals as well.
Reese sent social media into a frenzy when she knocked down the first 3-pointer of her WNBA career. After swishing her first attempt from beyond the arc, Reese stepped up and knocked down another shot from downtown.
The Sky rookie was 2-of-2 from 3-point range as she shot 8-of-13 from the field. It was Reese who also iced the game for Chicago from the free-throw line, knocking down three clutch free throws and shooting 9-of-10 from the charity stripe.
After Reese's historic night in Seattle, here's a closer look at the list of players with the most consecutive double-double games in WNBA history.
