Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever returned to the court to face the Las Vegas Aces on Friday for the fourth time this season. The Fever had lost each of the three previous meetings in the 2024 WNBA regular season.
Clark started the game missing her first two 3-point attempts. She also missed her first two free-throw attempts. This was followed by a technical foul that gave the Aces three free throws as Clark grew visibly frustrated.
She missed all the shots she took in the six minutes she played in the period, posting a plus-minus of -4 in a major game for the Indiana Fever ahead of the WNBA postseason.
Clark tried to make an impact in other ways in the second quarter, providing six assists and grabbing one rebound to finish the first half. Her turnover struggles appeared again and she committed her third personal foul of the game.
The Fever entered halftime down eight points. Clark attempted seven shots in the first half and made none in one of the worst first-half performances of her rookie season.
Caitlin Clark woke up in the third quarter and led a Fever comeback attempt. The guard made six field goals, including two 3-pointers, for 14 points. She also grabbed three rebounds and stayed out of foul trouble while playing the whole 10 minutes as the Fever edged the third period 22-17.
However, the Aces slowed her down in the fourth. Clark managed just four points and finished the game with 18 as the Aces eked out a 78-74 win to sweep the regular-season series.
Clark finished with a double-double (18 points and 10 assists).
