A'ja Wilson expressed her love to her former teammate Deja Kelly after she showered her with praise. On Thursday, the "We Need To Talk" podcast shared a video on its Instagram account.
The clip featured a segment from the podcast's latest episode where the former Aces rookie made a guest appearance. In the segment, Kelly was asked about her experience playing with A'ja Wilson, and the former Oregon Ducks guard did not hold back her praise for the three-time MVP.
"She is one of the most selfless superstars that I have ever met, ever been around," Kelly said. "The way that she carries herself is all team. It's all who can she help the people around her? how could she be at her best for the people around her?

"And I think you don't always see that in your star. You don't always see that from the best player in the league and the best player in the world."
The former LV Aces rookie's statements moved A'ja Wilson and she dropped in the post's comment section to express her gratitude.
"My girl @dejakelly 🤍🤍" Wilson wrote.
Kelly also remarked that during her time on the Aces, she used to be scared of asking questions from the veterans but the three-time MVP's warm nature allowed her to open up. She also hailed Wilson as an inspiration for young Black girls who look up to the Aces star and aspired to follow in her footsteps.
Deja Kelly went undrafted in the 2025 WNBA draft, however, she secured a training camp contract with the Aces. She played in two preseason games and delivered decent performances, but unfortunately, she was waived before the start of the season because of limited spots on the roster.

A'ja Wilson has risen to prominence as one of the biggest names in the WNBA in recent years. She launched her signature sneakers, the Nike A'One on May 6 and has been signing many endorsement deals with different brands.
In April, Wilson announced her partnership with Chase Bank through an Instagram post and now she is featured in the bank's commercial alongside Kevin Hart and Warriors superstar Steph Curry.
The commercial is a part of Chase's “Cashback Like a Pro” campaign and was released on May 22. In the promo video, Steph Curry and Kevin Hart are seen playing one-on-one basketball while debating different cashback offers.
During their debate, Curry and Hart end up in a draw, and A'ja Wilson pops in to score a basket and win the argument with the best cashback offer.
