Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston turned 23 years old on Wednesday. As one of the brightest young talents in the WNBA, Boston just finished her second season in the league. She responded to a birthday greeting from her cousin, Kira Punter, who took to social media to celebrate.

In an Instagram story, Boston re-shared Punter's message, which featured a throwback of the two dancing on TikTok, with Punter calling the Fever star her favorite dance partner.

"Happy Birthday to my fav dance partner," Punter wrote.
"Forever dance partner for sure. Thank you!!! Don't attack the Megan knees I was warming up," Boston replied on the story.

Aliyah Boston and her sister Alexis moved in with their aunt Jenaire Hodge and their cousin Kira Punter when she was 12 years old. It was a big change, as she went from playing basketball in the U.S. Virgin Islands to New England to pursue her basketball dreams.

However, the goal was never specifically to become a WNBA player, but to get a scholarship and finish college. Boston achieved that after attending the University of South Carolina, where she studied communications and became a basketball star. She helped lead the Gamecocks to an NCAA championship in 2022.

Boston was then selected as the No. 1 pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2023 WNBA Draft. She went on to win the Rookie of the Year after averaging 14.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.

As mentioned above, Aliyah Boston graduated with a degree in communications from the University of South Carolina. Boston put it to good use following her rookie season with the Indiana Fever by signing a contract with NBC. She became an on-air analyst for women's college basketball in the Big Ten conference.

After her second year in the WNBA, Boston was back on the airwaves and can be seen on NBC Sports and Peacock with co-hosts Carolyn Manno and Meghan McKeown.

However, Boston's time as a broadcaster will be limited this college basketball season since she's going to play in the Unrivaled League. She was drafted by Vinyl BC and the season starts on Jan. 17, 2025, in Miami.
