Aliyah Boston celebrated her 23rd birthday on Wednesday, receiving loving wishes from her closest friends and family members. Boston, one of Indiana Fever’s youthful cornerstones in the past two years, came off a terrific 2024 WNBA season, becoming the team’s third-leading scorer.
So when her birthday arrived, Boston received numerous wishes from her loved ones including teammate Erica Wheeler. The Fever guard wished Boston a happy birthday, calling her a “unicorn” and expressing her love for her teammate.
“Happy Birthday to this unicorn. Love you girly!,” Wheeler wrote on her Instagram story.
Boston reposted the story and reciprocated her love with the caption: “Thankss sista love you too.”
She also received a message from her cousin Kira Punter, who posted a picture of them dancing to a TikTok trend, showing their closeness.
“Happy Birthday to my fav dance partner ✊🏾✊🏾," Punter said in her caption of the IG story.
"Forever dance partner for sure. Thank you!!! Don't attack the Megan knees I was warming up," Boston wrote as she re-shared the post on her IG story.
Aliyah Boston averaged 14.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game as she played the entire season for the Fever. The athletic forward has also been the team’s defensive anchor throughout the year, posting a team-high 1.2 blocks per game.
Boston was selected as the number one pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, a year before the Fever again struck gold with the selection of star guard Caitlin Clark in 2024.
Like Clark this year, Boston won the 2023 Rookie of the Year after norming 14.5 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in her first year in the professional league.
Together with Clark, Boston, and veterans Kelsey Mitchell and NaLyssa Smith, the Fever reached their first WNBA playoffs since the 2016 season. They finished the regular season with a 20-20 win-loss record.

Aliyah Boston has been an ever-supportive teammate for the Fever franchise. As Indiana ended their historic season, Boston wrote a short but strong message for her star teammate Caitlin Clark, who was already the team’s focal point in her first year in the WNBA.
"You deserve it all❤️ ready for moreee with you," Boston commented in Clark’s post-playoff post in Instagram.
In the post, Clark conveyed her gratitude for everything that happened in her first season in the WNBA.
"Year one ✅ — thank you to the many people who have supported me as I’ve been able to live my childhood dream...I’m filled with gratitude as I reflect on this past year of my life. See you all in year two 🖤💫," the Fever guard captioned.
