Caitlin Clark was one of the marquee names headlining The Annika as she geared up to participate in the pro-am tournament. The Indiana Fever star almost hit a fan when she teed off and the viral clip saw responses pour in from fans on social media.
One of the fans didn't mince words with a sly dig towards Angel Reese's basketball skills comparing it to Clark's swing.
"Caitlin Clark golfs like Angel Reese dribbles and shoots a basketball"
Another fan @svcigar added:
"Wow she's horrible"

"Not the old reach in your pocket for another ball trick"
Clark garnered a huge crowd at last year's John Deere Classic pro-am. The latest event also saw a good chunk of fans in attendance when she hit the course at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
Caitlin Clark reveals golfing ability: "I can hit it"
Leading up to the event, Caitlin Clark was asked about her ability to tee off, and the Indiana Fever star had a candid response. Per Fox Sports:
"I'm strong, and I can hit it. It just usually doesn't go straight. I mean sometimes it goes straight, but it depends. You just step up there and hope for the best. ... I just don't want to hit anyone with a golf ball. That's my No. 1 priority."
She also added:
"I'm just the average golfer. I'm going to hit some good, I'm going to hit some bad. Just going to try not to hit anyone standing outside of the ropes. But it'll be fun."
Clark admitted that she was nervous to play a sport that wasn't her strength, but decided to give it a shot saying, "I don't care what happens. Doesn't really matter. I don't play golf for a living." Earlier, the former Hawkeyes star had joked about going pro in the offseason after the Fever was eliminated from the playoffs.
The guard comes off a stellar year as the Fever made the playoffs on the back of her impressive rookie season averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 assists, and 8.4 rebounds. She was an automatic choice for Rookie of the Year after Angel Reese who had an equally solid campaign went down with an unfortunate wrist injury, sidelining her. The Chicago Sky failed to make the postseason, and that meant Clark had another key factor that determined her ROTY honors.
