On Saturday, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark's coaches couldn't hide their true feelings on Michael Jordan after their historic win at United Center. In their first-ever meeting at the arena, Indiana won 79-52 over the Chicago Sky.
Indiana assistant coach Austin Kelly took charge as Stephanie White was out due to personal reasons. He spoke about the win, and expressed his admiration for Jordan.
"Our staff we are a little older than them, and so we grew up watching Michel Jordan," Kelly said. "I remember where I was during his championship runs, sometimes on the road playing AAU tournaments, watching him play in hotel rooms . It's just surreal to be in here and to see the banners."
Kelly was not the only one in awe, as Fever player development coach Keith Porter felt the same. He acknowledged the surreal moment, and posted a picture of the banners.
"GOAT 🐐," Porter wrote on his Instagram story.

Although Clark missed the game due to her quad injury, the Fever still defeated the home team by 27 points.
Michael Jordan's agent pushes for Caitlin Clark's inclusion in historic WNBA CBA discussion
In a recent interview, Michael Jordan's agent, David Falk, pushed for Caitlin Clark's inclusion in the upcoming collective bargaining agreement negotiations. The current CBA, which was signed in 2020, is set to expire at the end of the season. New talks will begin to begin in the offseason.
Falk was with Jordan during his key meetings with the NBA during the 1998 lockout campaign. He believes Clark should be part of the discussion, given her fame and stature.
"It’s important for the top players to be involved, because that’s who the owners respect," Falk said on Friday, via Sportico. "She’s going to make everyone else a lot more money — not at the same level but in the same manner Jordan made everyone a lot more money."
The WNBAPA will to tackle a few key subjects during the meetings, and the biggest topic will likely be the salary cap on player contracts.
