Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark made her much-awaited return in their second preseason game against the Brazil National Team. Having missed the first game, all eyes were on the star as she came back to her old hunting ground, the Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

In familiar territory, Clark was the star attraction as the court emblazoned with her number and initials, bore witness to her scoring the first points of the game, a 24-foot running pullup jumpshot. On the back of her game opening three, Fever got out of the gates with a hot start (8-0).

Clark missed her next three shots, two from mid-range and one from downtown as she settled into the role of a primary distributor, setting the stage for Kelsey Mitchell until she was subbed out with five minutes left in the first quarter. Clark returned to hit the quarter ending shot for her second three, consolidating Fever's advantage into a 20-point lead.

The Fever came out red hot in the second quarter, pouring in a deluge of points on the hapless Brazilians as the lead quickly ballooned out of control. Clark shook off her misses from within the arc earlier in the game to score a driving layup and a score beneath the basket. The highlight of the period, however was her three-pointer from way downtown as she pulled up from 31-feet. Clark's perfect shooting in the second quarter gave her a creditable statline at the half with 13 points on highly efficient shooting. The game was as good as over by half-time as the Fever held a commanding 70-24 advantage on Brazil.
