One of Caitlin Clark's biggest fans, Dave Portnoy, wasted no time in trolling Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday. The Sky suffered another humiliating loss to the Indiana Fever, this time at the United Center in Chicago. The Fever didn't even have Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham on the lineup due to injury.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Portnoy reacted to the Fever's 79-52 win over the Sky. The hosts were awful from the get-go as Indiana took over early and never looked back. They never found their rhythm despite playing well in their past two games, which were both wins over the Dallas Wings.
Portnoy didn't hold back as he added an expletive to encapsulate how shocked he was with the Sky's performance.
"Holy sh*t the Chicago Sky stink," Portnoy tweeted.
While Dave Portnoy is not known for his fandom of the Chicago Sky, it's hard not to see how bad the team was on Sunday. It was an opportunity for Angel Reese and company to shut up their haters. They were given an advantage with Caitlin Clark on the sidelines, but the Indiana Fever's win just fueled more criticism.
Reese had four points on 2-for-7 shooting, with 12 rebounds and two assists. No player reached double figures in scoring, with Kamilla Cardoso and Rebecca Allen each scoring eight points. The Sky shot just 32.1% from the field, including 20.0% from beyond the arc.
Meanwhile, Kelsey Mitchell led the way for Indiana with 17 points, five rebounds and two assists. Natasha Howard scored 13 points, while Aliyah Boston put up 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. Aari McDonald was huge off the bench, scoring 12 points in his second game for the Fever.
Dave Portnoy called for Caitlin Clark's fans to hate Angel Reese

Saturday's matchup wasn't the first game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever this season. They met on opening weekend, with the Fever dominating the Sky with a 35-point victory. However, it was overshadowed by the reaction to Caitlin Clark's foul on Angel Reese.
The foul was deemed a flagrant, but both players knew that it was a good basketball foul. The reaction on social media overshadowed the entire WNBA, with Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy going on a six-minute rant about the incident and even calling for the Clark's fanbase to hate Reese.
It was also a response to Ryan Clark, who went at it with Robert Griffin III, because of the situation, and Pornoy's name was mentioned.
