Caitlin Clark's impact might have transcended the WNBA and women's sports. However, according to some fans, there is a connection between one of her likes to a turnaround that could have major ramifications in the upcoming 2024 Presidential election. X user Adam Kinzinger shared a graphic showing the voting intention of people from Iowa.

This graphic gives Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris a lead over Republican Party candidate Donald Trump, 47% to 44%. This was all it took for fans to connect this to Clark liking a Taylor Swift Instagram post denying that she supported Trump.

"Recently I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
"I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them," Swift wrote back in September.

A couple of fans recalled that Caitlin liked this post. Given her influence as a Des Moines native and the greatest basketball player in Iowa Hawkeyes history, they believe she impacted voters' choice ahead of this election.

"One like changed everything," one fan said.
"everyone say 'thank you caitlin'", another fan wrote.
"We’ll all one day tell our grandkids about the day Caitlin Clark liked Taylor Swift’s post lol," another fan said.

WNBA champion rejects notion about Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever fans

New York Liberty standout Jonquel Jones joined "The Pivot" podcast for its latest episode, uploaded on Friday, to talk about a variety of topics, including Clark's fans. She talked about how some people feigned fandom for Clark to give vent to their racism.

"I think a lot of the Caitlin Clark fans, I think they wanted to latch onto Caitlin Clark and use her as this fuel to be able to be the way that they wanted to be ... They want her to be the representation of their racism."

Clark has made it clear she doesn't support any of that and asked people to respect her colleagues and Jones is aware of that.
