A'ja Wilson has established herself as one of the more commanding faces of the WNBA with her impressive resume, which includes two league championships and two regular-season MVP awards.
She shared pictures of her recent workout at the Las Vegas Aces' practice court with a SpongeBob SquarePants durag in preparation for her seventh WNBA season.
Wilson is coming off a championship victory in the 2023 WNBA Finals, where she posted 23.8 points (55.4% shooting), 11.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks. Since first arriving in the league back in the 2018 season, A'ja Wilson continued to showcase improvements to her skillset with increased production to back up her development.

Speaking with Andscape's Sean Hurd, A'ja Wilson briefly talked about her book, "Dear Black Girls: How to Be True to You," and how one of the reasons she wrote it was to provide an outlet or source for the younger generation to look up to.
"When people see me, it may not be your stereotypical way of what you think of how a women's basketball player should look," Wilson said. "I love that. I want to show other young Black girls that you don't have to look or talk or be a certain person to be successful in what you want to do. I try to bring that to the W every single year and have fun while doing it," Wilson said.
Looking at the WNBA landscape, A'ja Wilson is considered to be one of the most promising stars in the league with how she carries herself on and off the court. With how much work she puts into her craft, she has established a standard for future stars of the league to look up to as well as for the younger generation to aspire to.
Not every basketball player in the league is considered to be a marketable role model but Wilson remains one with how much confidence and passion she shows in her professional basketball career.
With another regular season drawing closer each day, Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces have the opportunity to win their third straight championship.
