Caitlin Clark is chasing history tonight, needing just 11 assists to break the single-season assist record set by Connecticut Sun guard Alyssa Thomas.
The Fever rookie currently ranks third on the all-time list for most assists in a single season with 306, behind Courtney Vandersloot, who had 314 in 2023, and Thomas, who tallied 316 in the same year.
With four games left, Clark also has a chance to break into the top five for most 3-pointers made in a single season if she keeps up her current pace of 3.1 made threes on 8.9 attempts per game.
The current top five for single-season 3-pointers are led by Sabrina Ionescu with 128 in 2023, followed by Diana Taurasi (121 in 2006), Arike Ogunbowale (117 in 2023), Jewell Loyd (115 in 2023) and Kelsey Plum (113 in 2022).
Clark is already sixth all-time with 111 3-pointers this season. If she maintains her current rate and averages three 3-pointers over the next four games, she would finish with 123, surpassing Taurasi for second on the list.
