The Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics squared off in the final matchup for each team on Thursday night.

The Fever took a 24-22 lead after the first quarter, but Washington bounced back with a strong 30-point second quarter to take a 52-45 lead into halftime.
Indiana rookie guard Caitlin Clark scored eight points in the first half, shooting 2 of 3 from beyond the arc. She also had five assists and four rebounds.
NaLyssa Smith and Ariel Atkins led all scorers with 11 points apiece in the first half, while Sika Kone and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each scored 10 points.

Caitlin Clark did not score in the second half, but she did have a couple of assists and one rebound. She finished with eight points, four rebounds and five assists and was subbed out with a little over five minutes left.
Washington led by as many as 17 points late in the third quarter and looked set for a comfortable victory. However, the Fever mounted a comeback in the fourth and closed to within a point with a minute to go.

Indiana missed three shots in the final minute, including Katie Lou Samuelson and Grace Berger's jumpers with eight seconds to go.
Washington held on for a 92-91 win in front of the largest crowd in WNBA history (20,711).
Despite the defeat, the Fever secured a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Sike Kone led all scorers with 20 points. She was ably supported by Emily Engstler and Ariel Atkins, who had 17 points apiece.
