Caitlin Clark's boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, recently showed his support for the Indiana Fever last week when the LA Sparks were in town. They shared a hug after the game and it was caught on camera, which was shared online for their fans to see.
McCaffery and Clark began dating when they were still playing basketball at Iowa. As fate would have it, their post-college careers brought them together in Indiana. The Pacers hired him as a team assistant in May 2023, while the Fever drafted her No. 1 in April.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, McCaffery shared candid images of himself and Clark after Sunday's game. It was a grueling overtime game that pushed the Fever to the limit and got back on the winning track after their five-game winning streak was snapped last Friday.
Fans reacted positively to the images of the basketball couple on social media. Connor McCaffery has been very supportive of Caitlin Clark's journey to the WNBA, which has had some ups and downs early on. Clark and the Indiana Fever are poised to make some noise in the playoffs.
"Is that Love and Basketball?" a fan asked.
"They're a cute couple," one fan wrote.
"I'm so glad she has someone to lean on like that. It can't be easy being her," another fan opined.
Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery have been dating since April 2023, keeping their relationship private, as per Business Insider. The couple shares their images on their respective Instagram accounts from time to time.
"I love when Caitlin rests her head on the shoulders of the people she loves & trusts the most," a fan shared.
"You both are such an amazing couple and you both make Iowa proud," one fan responded.
"She's at peace in his arms," another fan remarked.
Caitlin Clark looking forward to facing former Iowa teammate Kate Martin
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are back on the road for a three-game slate out West. The Fever will battle the defending back-to-back WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces, for two straight games. It's a reunion for Clark and former Iowa teammate Kate Martin.
However, the Fever are a different team now although Clark is looking forward to playing against her former teammate.
"It's definitely fun for us, it's fun for a lot of fans in the Midwest that cheered us on while we were in college. It's cool to see one of your best friends live out her dream and then get to play against each other. At the same time, it's definitely pretty weird for us. We were teammates for four years, we got pretty used to that," Clark said Tuesday after practice.
Martin has been a spark plug off the bench for the Aces and became an important part of the champs' rotation. It will be the third and fourth meetings of the season between the two teams, with Las Vegas taking the first two in Indiana with ease.
