Paige Bueckers is expected to return to action on Sunday as the Dallas Wings host the Minnesota Lynx in a Commissioner's Cup clash. The star rookie is listed as probable on the injury report, no longer due to concussion protocol, but because of a non-COVID illness.

Bueckers has officially cleared concussion protocol after missing the Wings' last three games. Despite her recovery, the team has listed her as day-to-day with an illness ahead of their high-stakes matchup against Napheesa Collier and the Lynx.

The Wings have struggled in her absence, failing to stay competitive without their floor general. Following Dallas’ 93-79 loss to the LA Sparks on Friday, head coach Chris Koclanes spoke candidly about the void left by the No. 1 overall pick, acknowledging how difficult it is to win games without Bueckers leading the charge.

"Just trying to figure it out and it seems like we can't get everyone on the same page…it hurts when you dont have a Paige, or a Ty Harris….now you’re asking DiJonai to play point guard…but tonight she struggled…we will continue to fight and believe and we will turn the tide," Koclanes said.

In addition to Paige Bueckers, the Dallas Wings have two more players listed on their injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Lynx. Ty Harris has been ruled out due to a left knee injury, while Teaira McCowan remains unavailable as she fulfills her national team commitments.
