Aliyah Boston's boyfriend, Tre-Vaughn Minnot, shared a special picture of his late mother, Michelle, on social media to celebrate her birthday. Minnot, who plays for the Portland State Vikings men's team, accompanied the post with a touching message.
The Instagram story features Mrs. Minnot and a kid smiling to the camera.
"Missing you all day today my queen ❤️," he captioned the post.
"Happy birthday!❤️ This one is for you especially... keep watching over me ❤️"
Tre-Vaughn is Michelle's son and the brother of Ann-Marie Wright. He played 29 games for the South Carolina Gamecocks when Aliyah Boston defended the program's colors. Before transferring to the Vikings in April 2023, he averaged 1.8 points and 1.7 rebounds per game and shot 68.5% from the field.
Minnot and Aliyah Boston have been together for several years. Their romance began when he approached the future Indiana Fever player on USC's campus and told her a joke.
“You’re making me smile. It was out of nowhere. ... It was, ‘Hey, let me tell you a joke.’ And that’s it. Just from there. We laugh about it every day. Every single day. It was just like an instant spark.”
Now, the All Star post is writing her WNBA story while Minnot has one more year of college eligibility due to the COVID-waiver season. He was crowned the top scorer on his team's combat US Army fitness test at the end of September, so maybe he's getting ready for a breakthrough campaign at Portland State.
Tre-Vaughn Minott publicly admits his fondness for Aliyah Boston The bond between Tre-Vaughn Minott and Aliyah Boston has only strengthened since they first met on the USC campus. In a recent interview, Minott openly discussed Boston's profound impact on his life and how the Indiana Fever star continues to help him grow as a person.
"I love that girl," Minott said in an interview with The State. "She's such a big factor in my life. She teaches me just so much. She opens my eyes to a lot of things, and she's just a great person. I couldn't ask for anyone else to be with. She's perfect."
Aliyah Boston played a key role in helping the Indiana Fever break their eight-year playoff drought. The two-time WNBA All-Star averaged a double-double, though the Fever were swept 2-0 by the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the playoffs.
