On Friday, NBA legend Michael Jordan's agent, David Falk, pushed for Caitlin Clark to be included in the historic WNBA CBA talks. The current Collective Bargaining Agreement, which was enacted in 2020, is set to expire this season and will be revised by the league and athletes. Falk believes Clark should be a part of this discussion if the players are to get the best deal.

In an article posted on Sportico.com, Falk was reported to have urged the WNBA Players' Union to include Clark in the CBA negotiations. He claimed that "top players" should be involved in the talks, as it would help their case further.

"It’s important for the top players to be involved, because that’s who the owners respect," Falk expressed.

While not wanting to draw comparisons with Jordan, his agent believed that Clark did have similarities, especially with her popularity and importance to the league. Falk also compared the situation to the NBA's six-month-long lockout in 1998, which Jordan helped end by participating in two key meetings.

Falk encouraged the players' union to involve Clark's management, claiming that she could make them a lot of money like Jordan did with NBA players.

"She’s going to make everyone else a lot more money—not at the same level but in the same manner Jordan made everyone a lot more money," he declared.

The WNBA Players Association will enter the negotiations to discuss the future of the league. Their main topic of discussion will be around the current salary cap, which sees the women get a very limited amount. Furthermore, it is only the players who have a salary cap in the league, which will be another subject they could discuss during the meeting.
