Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull's mom, Jaime Hull, looked back on her daughter's mentality before the Caitlin Clark era on Thursday. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) to repost a clip from 2023, Jamie reflected on her daughter's time with the Indianapolis franchise. Lexie joined the Fever in 2022 as the sixth overall pick, two years before Clark's introduction to the league.
Jamie retweeted a clip from the Fever's official X (formerly Twitter) account, which featured her daughter's mentality going into her second season. The video was captioned with a quote from teammate Kelsey Mitchell, alongside a short note from the Indiana account.
"'Lexie is going to drive through a wall for you, she's going to go through that wall every single day for you.' Lexie Hull is bringing a new energy into year two," the caption read.
The guard's mother reposted the tweet, explaining how "not much has changed," looking back on the Fever guard's mentality pre-Caitlin Clark era.
"This is an oldie but a goodie! Not much has changed, yet a lot has changed! #FeverRising Let’s Go @IndianaFever @lexiehulll," Jamie wrote.
In the clip, Lexie Hull discusses her preparation for Year 2, explaining how she was working on her "shots" and "ball handling." The throwback video showcased Hull's relentless dedication toward honing her craft before the arrival of Caitlin Clark.
Ever since her introduction to the WNBA, the guard has steadily grown in stature, morphing into an important player for the Fever. During the 2022 season, the Washington native made 26 appearances, and that figure has been rising every year. Last term, she was involved in 34 games and has played all nine matchups this season.
