Candace Parker joined Jemele Hill on her podcast on Sunday, where she spoke openly about Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and the evolving landscape of the WNBA. During one segment, the WNBA legend addressed the physical style of play being used by defenders to slow down Clark.
While making her point, Parker also listed players she considers generational talents. Her list included Clark, A’ja Wilson, Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart and herself.
"When you are a generational talent, and I say that in Diana, Maya, myself, Breanna, Caitlin Clark, A’ja, you’re gonna experience the physicality," Parker said on the 'Spolitics' podcast. "The scouting report is to stop you. Was I the rookie coming in and got shots taken at me? Oh yeah."
Social media erupted as fans were quick to notice Angel Reese’s absence from Parker’s list of generational talents. Netizens didn’t hold back, sharing candid reactions and making their feelings over Reese’s omission loud and clear.
"Notice how CP never mentions Angel Reese’s name? She knows Reese is a bum," a fan commented.
Another fan commented:
"Pleasantly surprised she didn't sneak in brick barbie. lmao," a fan said.

Candace Parker reacts to Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese's comparison to Magic Johnson and Larry Bird
In another segment of the podcast, Candace Parker addressed the growing narrative comparing the Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese rivalry to that of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. The three-time WNBA champion made it clear she isn’t convinced by the comparison and explained why she believes it doesn’t hold up.
"It's like, what are we doing? Well, (Bird and Magic) played similar positions," Parker said. "Like, Bird wasn't a point guard, but he played the guard position. Like, they at least kind of match up. This? Like, what are we doing? So, I'm not falling into that. I'm not into the comparison."
One thing is certain - since Clark and Reese entered the league last year, the WNBA’s popularity has surged. Now in their sophomore seasons, Clark is currently sidelined with an injury, while Reese is working to stabilize the Sky after a turbulent start to the year.
