Caitlin Clark attended the Indiana Pacers vs. New York Knicks game on Sunday at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The WNBA Rookie of the Year was with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery.
During one segment of the game, Clark was featured on the jumbotron, where she was seen saying something to her boyfriend. A fan uploaded that segment from the Pacers vs. Knicks game on X, formerly Twitter, and asked the fans to decode what Clark was saying.
"Where’s the lip reader?????"
Fans flooded the social media with their thoughts on what Clark could have said in the clip. One fan showed off his lip-reading skills and seemingly decoded the Fever star's statements in the comments section of another post.
"She said “I’m in the Jumbotron” …. Something something.. “yes!”.. something something lol"
Other fans joined the bandwagon and expressed their guesses in their posts.
"not her using the jumbotron to fix her hair lmao," a fan said.
"Wait I think she said “I’m on the Jumbotron, say something” she is so funny lmao," another fan said.
"That little head nod," another fan said.
Other fans commented on Clark's health condition and praised her.
"My dawg looks well-rested," a fan said.
"Hi most beautiful girl in the world," Another fan said.
The Pacers won the matchup against the Knicks with a final score of 132-121. Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin led the scoring charts for the night, netting 35 points and 38 points, respectively.
Knicks legend roasts Caitlin Clark during the Pacers-Knicks game
The broadcast highlighted Caitlin Clark's attendance in the Pacers-Knicks game as they showed off the WNBA Rookie of the Year on the jumbotron. However, during the segment, Knicks legend Clyde Frazier - who was on commentary duty on Sunday night - roasted the Fever star.
When Clark was shown on the big screen, Mike Breen — Frazier's co-commentator for the night — made positive remarks about her. However, the former Knicks point guard saw an opportunity to crack a joke and roasted her.
"Speaking of great Point Guards, there she is sitting courtside, Caitlin Clark," Breen said.
"She doesn't look that formidable, I could stop her," Frazier remarked.
Caitlin Clark is coming off an incredible rookie season in the WNBA. The Indiana Fever star averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. She made her first-ever All-Star team in her rookie season and was also named the Rookie of the Year after breaking several records.
Clark helped the Fever qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2016. However, their post-season ended quickly as the Connecticut Sun eliminated them in the first round with a 2-0 record.
