Caitlin Clark is one of the most crafty finishers in the entire WNBA despite only being a rookie. Clark works on her game with her boyfriend Connor McCaffery, a fellow Iowa alum and former Hawkeye men's basketball player, who is also a team assistant with the Indiana Pacers.

In a photo posted by photographer Bri Lewerke on Instagram, Clark could be seen utilizing her floater in the Indiana Fever's Friday-night matchup versus the Minnesota Lynx. In the background, McCaffery can be seen celebrating Clark's bucket.

Indiana Pacers guard and McCaffery and Clark's friend Tyrese Haliburton, who knows a thing or two about floaters, showed his support for McCaffery's coaching skills in the comments of the post.

"Floater work yessir coach @connor_m30," Haliburton commented, praising McCaffery's work with the Fever rookie.

The Fever rookie finished the game against the Lynx with 25 points in the contest, adding eight rebounds and eight assists.

Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery began dating in April of 2023. The couple went public with their relationship in August of 2023, with Clark posting a picture with McCaffery on Instagram.

Connor McCaffery is also a graduate of Iowa and played men's basketball for the Hawkeyes from 2017 to 2023, averaging 4.5 points, 3.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds. McCaffery started in 89 of his 166 collegiate games.

Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever downed by Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever played their 37th regular season game on Wednesday night, dropping a tough game to the Las Vegas Aces, 86-75.

Clark posted 16 points and 6 assists but struggled with shooting the ball, as did most of the Fever's players. As a team, Indiana shot just 39.7% from the field and 26.9% from 3-point range.

It was a historic night for Aces forward and the WNBA MVP frontrunner A'ja Wilson, who set the single-season scoring record in her 27-point showing. Wilson wouldn't be denied on her record-setting night, scoring 11 of her 27 points in the final six minutes of the fourth quarter.

The Aces picked up their fifth win in their last six games, while Indiana dropped to 19-18 on the season. The loss was a rare one for the Fever, who have been one of the WNBA's hottest teams since returning from the All-Star break.

The two teams will face off again on Friday, Sept. 13.
