Vanessa Bryant and her kids were joined by American tennis superstar Coco Gauff at courtside to catch the New York Liberty play on Tuesday. They saw the defending WNBA champions roll past Angel Reese and the visiting Chicago Sky.
The Bryants and Gauff were part of the 16,081 people in attendance at Barclays Center in Brooklyn as the Liberty dominated the Sky, 85-66, to chalk up their ninth win in as many games in the ongoing WNBA season.
Midway into the game, Gauff received a massive ovation from the New York crowd for winning her first French Open title on Saturday, defeating world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in three sets.
The 21-year-old Florida native acknowledged the honor while seated beside Kobe Bryant's eldest daughter Natalia.
The crowd at Barclays were treated to a dominant performance by the Liberty, who raced to a 12-0 lead in the first four minutes and never looked back from there.
Guard Sabrina Ionescu led the way for New York, finishing with a game-high 23 points with seven assists. Breanna Stewart had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
For Chicago (2-6), Reese had her 30th career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ariel Atkins backstopped her with 11 points.
The Sky played their first game without veteran guard Courtney Vandersloot, who tore her ACL in their previous game. Vandersloot was part of the championship-winning Liberty squad last season.
