A little over a year ago, Caitlin Clark inked a deal with "Wilson" to put together her own line of signature basketballs. Amid news regarding an expansion to her collection, fans online have used this as an opportunity to jab at another industry giant.
On Monday morning, Wilson put out a press release announcing a second edition to Clark's signature line. It will feature four new basketballs, each with its own theme and design put together by the WNBA star.
Along with the press release, Wilson released a new ad to help promote the newest products in their partnership with Caitlin Clark. The video features her working out in an empty gym with a rack full of the new basketballs.
Once the clip hit social media, fans instantly started buzzing about it. They mainly sounded off on how Nike continues to drop the ball when it comes to making the Indiana Fever star as a feature athlete.

Fans applauded Wilson for going above and beyond to help grow Clark's outreach to basketball fans everywhere while imploring Nike to do the same.
Days after she was selected with the top pick in the WNBA Draft, Nike inked Clark to a deal worth nearly $30 million over eight years.
Ex-Nike employee sounds off on how Nike has mishandled Caitlin Clark since signing her
WNBA fans are not the only ones who are displeased with how Nike has underutilized Caitlin Clark. Last week, an ex-employee went on a long social media rant about how they aren't doing enough with the emerging superstar.
Jordan Rodgers starts off the video by stating he worked within Nike's marketing department for over a decade but has since departed. From there, he sounded off on the iconic brand for how little they've helped promote one of the biggest mainstream stars in sports right now.
Rodgers, like all other fans, understands that Caitlin Clark is a big name who needs to be pushed to the masses. Understanding the power Nike can have in this, he wants them to follow suit with her other brand partners like State Farm and Gatorade.
"You have the unicorn, the chosen one, the one who everyone wants to hear from and you are just sitting around" Rodgers said. "Gatorade, State Farm, Gainbridge, Wilson Basketball have all figured out how to have a point of view with Caitlin Clark. Please, for the love of God, figure something out."
Nike does have plans for its partnership with Clark, but nothing in the immediate future. The two sides are working on a signature shoe, and the Fever star is getting a pair of her own player exclusives.
