The inaugural edition of the RuPay Pro Volleyball League 2019 comes to a close as the Calicut Heroes take on Chennai Spartans at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu in the title decider.
Calicut Heroes come into the final clash with an unbeaten record through the league stages, dominating the competition with their strong all-round play. Chennai Spartans have emerged as the dark horses in the tournament, from barely qualifying for a semi-final berth in the final two days of the league stages to scripting a stunning win over Kochi Blue Spikers in the semifinals.
