Author’s Take

Indian wrestlers have been making the country proud ever since KD Jadhav became the first Indian to win an individual Olympic medal at the Helsinki Olympics in 1952.

Sushil Kumar, Yogeshwar Dutt and co then made the country proud at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics and the tradition carried on with Sakshi Malik winning a medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

We hope this newly acquired winning habit continues to yield dividends and our wrestlers keep making the country proud on the world stage in the years to come.
