On May 17, 1993, during an episode of WWF Monday Night Raw, ‘Heart Break Kid’ Shawn Michaels, who was the Intercontinental Champion, declared that he would defend his title against anyone at anytime and any place. Out came his former ‘Rockers’ partner Marty Jannetty to challenge Michaels for the title. Marty was successful in his challenge and became the new Intercontinental champion. Mr. Perfect, a rival of Shawn Michaels aided Marty by throwing in a towel on Shawn’s face. Jannetty used this opportunity for a quick roll-up and got the victory against his former partner.
