The WWE Undisputed Championship was hanging in the balance as the champ – The Undertaker, in his ‘Big Evil’ persona, took on Jeff Hardy in a ladder match at the WWE Raw event on July 1, 2002. The Undertaker was working as a heel in this ‘Big Evil’ character. The match was an enduring affair for both men, but the champ emerged unscathed in the end. Many rate this match as one of the best Ladder matches in pro-wrestling history. Undertaker continued his attack on Hardy even after the victory. But later on, he gave a helping hand to a beaten down Jeff Hardy, signalling his transformation from a heel to a face.
