Kurt Angle successfully defended his WWF Championship against Triple H in a singles match at Royal Rumble 2001 PPV. This match had it all – outside interferences, cheap shots, low blows and hardcore action. Both men, who were portraying a heel character at that point of time, put on a fantastic match which would be remembered as one of the best matches held at the Royal Rumble.
