Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin met in a No Disqualification Submission match at Wrestlemania 13. This match held in Chicago, Illinois featured former UFC fighter Ken Shamrock as the special guest referee. This match featured hardcore wrestling with Stone Cold bust open by Bret Hart. After a grueling battle which lasted more than half an hour, Bret Hart gaining the victory after Austin tapped out. However, there was a lot of controversy over the finish of this match. Bret Hart, who was a face heading into this match, turned into a heel at the end of the match. On the other hand, Stone Cold became a credible face after this contest. On a side note, current WWE superstar CM Punk regards this match as the best in Wrestlemania history.
