2K Games gives an explanation as to why they dont update WWE 2K15's roster

2K Games have never updated the games roster since its release

2K Games have never updated the roster for WWE 2K15, unlike with NBA 2K15. The decision has always irked WWE 2K15 owners, many of whom would like an updated roster like with the NBA 2K series.

With NBA 2K games, new updates often include new jerseys for players and teams and even updated graphics on the court. The game even received an update to match real-life changes in the NBA teams. But updates like these never make their way to WWE 2K15, and 2K Games have finally given a reason to why this is so.

WWE Games community manager, Marcus Stephenson, has tried to explain the lack of roster updates on 2K’s official forums:

“We model an entire superstar, entrance, animations, etc. VERY different than sports games that have a set number of body types and replace heads. I would know — I was a designer at EA SPORTS and actually assigned the body types…”

So it seems that creating new wrestlers is quite a tedious task that requires a lot of time and effort. This would explain why WWE 2K15 does not receive too many regular updates, unlike NBA 2K15. On the bright side, players still have the option of creating their own new wrestlers or downloading custom wrestlers from others on the Community Creations mode.

WWE 2K15 is currently available for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
