It was a great start to the over! Yuvraj was furious following a verbal altercation with Andrew Flintoff moments before the over started. Anyway, he'd surely take a single the next ball and get captain cool on strike.

Ball two, a flick of the wrists and six over deep square leg. Now this man had all eyes to the television screen. Thousands cheering for him at Kingsmead, and a billion fans back home! One six was okay, but two sixes were most welcome by the Indian fans.

A stunned Stuart Broad was at the start of his run up to bowl the fourth delivery of the penultimate over of this Indian innings which was now starting to spice up.

Ball four, Broad comes round the wicket and bowls a juicy full toss to the man who was on fire! And what does he do? He smokes it over deep point for another six! That's four in a row. Change of angle doesn't make a difference for Stuart Broad. By this time, I feel that he has given up already, and just wants this nightmare of an over to get over.

Here we go again, ball number five, right leg out of the way, big swing over mid wicket. Let me tell you, this time, it went high enough to knock on the doors of heaven!

But as it came down, the umpire raised both his arms, "It's a six!"

Now as loyal cricket fans, we started praying to all of our gods and goddesses just for this last ball to go for the maximum! The atheists, meanwhile, held on to their lucky position, thinking that everything was jinxed.

Now, ball number six, Broad on the verge of an emotional breakdown, and our Yuvi fired up more than ever!

The spotlight was on the right man. We waited and waited for Broad to release the ball from the palm of his hand. And then, right leg out of the way again, big swing over long on!

Never done before, never done again! Twenty20 cricket was escalated to a new level altogether!

This is how Yuvraj Singh, established a name for himself. To add more, he was the player of the tournament in the 50 over world cup in 2011, which the Indian team won after 28 years!

But now, as we hear of Yuvraj being excluded from the list of 30 probables for the World Cup which is weeks away, it's a sad day for Indian cricket. Maybe the selection committee do not believe in the saying, "form is temporary, class is permanent".

Against all odds, I still have this hope that Yuvraj will make it to Australia for the world cup!
