Sourav Ganguly, the former Indian team captain supported the five bowler strategy which Virat Kohli used in recently concluded successful Test series in Sri Lanka saying can play with the same strategy if Stuart Binny is the bowling all-rounder, reports IBNlive. He added that it will also dependent upon the specific situation.

"You have to decide as per the situation. In the past also, we have seen India play with five bowlers. I think five bowlers is a good option if you consider Stuart Binny as your fifth bowler," Ganguly said.

India won the Test series in Sri Lanka after a gap of more than two decades and they did it in style by coming back in the series after losing the opening match. Ganguly, who is also known as 'Dada', praised the team for the historic win especially after bouncing back.

"It's a fabulous victory. The way they have bounced back from losing a match to win the series is a great achievement. If they keep playing like this, they will continue to win in future," Dada said.

Ganguly was at a book launch event based on the life of former Indian president, late APJ Abdul Kalam on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The left-handed batsman talked about his association with the great man.

"You always have to choose the priorities in life and it's not just how you're born but how you lead your life and he chose to lead his life with students and also died among students," said Ganguly.

The 43-year-old received the Padma Shri Award (The fourth highest civilian award in the Republic of India) from the former president in 2004. By recalling the same moment, Ganguly said: "He was a genius. A great scientist and I had the honour of receiving the Award from him."

"What stood out was his simplicity and you could see the spark in his eyes. A man for the masses," Ganguly concluded.

The former captain, Ganguly, has scored more than 18,000 runs by representing Indian team in 113 Tests and 311 ODIs.
