Fox Star India has recently launched the teaser poster of the much-awaited biopic on Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, “M.S. DHONI – THE UNTOLD STORY” in their official twitter handle.
It surely looks great. The film is based on the life of Indian Cricket’s most successful skipper MS Dhoni. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has essayed the role of Dhoni in this film. The film attempts to showcase the journey of the cricketer.
From being a ticket collector to be Indian cricket team’s captain, the journey truly is a remarkable one.
MS Dhoni in his early years used to be a ticket collector while he played for the South Eastern Railways’ cricket team. After that, he got a chance in the Indian team in 2004 and as they say, the rest is history.
He burst onto the scene as a fierce hitter of the cricket ball. Sporting long hair, Dhoni had that boy-next-door image. In his early days, Dhoni had only one dimension to his game that is to hit the ball aggressively. But soon the world started witnessing another side to his game as well. He soon became the finisher of the side and started playing according to the match’s condition.
Dhoni came into the limelight as a skipper in his debut tournament when he guided India to the World T20 title in 2007. After that, he was handed over the ODI and the test captaincy as well.
In 2011, he imprinted his name in the history of Indian Cricket when India won the ICC Cricket World Cup after 28 years. Dhoni was magnificent in the final as he scored a match-winning 91 to help India defeat Sri Lanka.
Dhoni is the only captain who has won every ICC tournament at least once. He won the T20 world cup in 2007, 50 Over World Cup in 2011 and he won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013. He also won the ICC Test Championship, given for being the number one Test team.
MS Dhoni is widely regarded for his calm demeanour and cool persona, both on and off the field. He is a man who is known to remain unperturbed either by emotion or by criticism.
It would be interesting to know some of the untold stories about the man himself. The fans of MS Dhoni are eagerly waiting for the film to release. They desperately want to witness the journey that their favourite star traversed.
