Royal Challengers Bangalore showed their dominance in their first match as they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 45 runs. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers were the main men as their 157-run partnership helped RCB post a total of 227 on the board.

AB de Villiers scored 82 off just 42 balls and was rightly named as the Man of the Match. His knock included six 6s and seven 4s as SRH failed to bowl at the right spots. Skipper Virat Kohli continued his good form as he struck a brilliant 75 off 51 balls. Chris Gayle has failed in the first match but will hold the key as RCB will look to continue their impressive home record.

Delhi Daredevils:

Delhi Daredevils had the “perfect match” against Kings XI Punjab as DD bowled well, fielded superbly and chased the target easily. Their young batting line-up which shows lots of promise played well on the tricky track of Kotla. Quinton de Kock has been brilliant as an opener and a lot will depend on him on the batting-friendly track.

Inclusion of JP Duminy has been a blessing for DD as the South African all-rounder brings experience in the middle order. Bowlers bowled superbly in the last match but the conditions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium would be completely different. Zaheer Khan marshalled his troops intelligently and if Delhi Daredevils wish to beat RCB in their own backyard, they would hope for a similar performance as their last match.
