This is a list of the 10 top F1 earners in 2014. It is of no doubt that Formula 1 racing is a cash-rich sport. Since its inaugural season in 1950, it has gone on to become a fine blend of driving expertise, adrenaline and glamour. Here's the list:

# 10. Romain Grosjean (Lotus)

Romain Grosjean comes in at 10th in the list of Formula One's highest earners. The Team Lotus driver will be raking in an estimated 1.5 million Euros (2.04 million US Dollars) in 2014. Though the 28-year-old is infamous for his rash driving techniques (most notably at the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix), but is still considered to be a bankable star. The French racer has 9 Podium finishes in his career till now, but is still eyeing an elusive win.

#9. Sergio Perez (Force India)

Good news for Force India fans as Sergio Perez makes the list of highest earning F1 racers. The Mexican racer signed for Vijay Mallya's team for 15 million Euros, and is currently pursuing his debut season with them. While at McLaren in 2013, he failed to grab a single podium finish and was shipped off in favour of Kevin Magnussen. The 24-year-old earns a salary of 2 million Euros from business tycoon Vijay Mallya's racing outfit.

#8. Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull)

Ricciardo has finally come of age at this season's Formula One Championship. The Red Bull driver claimed his maiden win at the Canadian Grand Prix on 8th June, 2014. The Australian fended competition from Mercedes' Nico Rosberg and teammate Sebastian Vettel to win the race in Montreal. The 24-year-old will earn an expected 2.5 million Euros in wages in his debut season at Red Bull.

#7. Felipe Massa (Williams)

Massa may have lost his spot in the Ferrari team to Kim Raikonnen, but is still a force to consider in Formula One. The 33-year-old veteran has now signed for Williams to partner Valterri Bottas. While at Ferrari, Massa in 2006 became the first Brazilian since Ayrton Senna to win the Brazilian GP. The Sao-Paulo born racer was close to clinching his maiden Driver's World Championship in 2008, eventually losing to Lewis Hamilton. Massa comes in at 7th in this list with a wage of 4 million Euros.

#6. Kimi Raikonnen (Ferrari)

2007 Driver's Champion Kimi Raikonnen comes in at 6th on this list. The Finnish racer is yet to impress in his second stint with Ferrari this season. But a veteran of 77 Podium finishes, it would be a mistake to write off The Iceman so soon. The 34-year-old will earn a whooping 10 million Euros this year in wages.

#5. Nico Rosberg (Mercedes)

German racer Nico Rosberg comes in at 5th in this list with wages of 11 million Euros in 2014. The 28-year-old has had a superb start to the F1 calendar this season. Rosberg has won in flying colours at the season-opener Australian GP and then at the Monaco GP. Tabletopper Rosberg is mounting his first serious challenge for the Drivers title this season.

#4. Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull)

The 4-time consecutive Drivers champion is listed 4th on this list. The defending World Champion announced himnself to the world at an early age. At just 21 years of age, Vettel became the youngest driver to win the World Drivers' Championship in 2010. The German has already assured himself amongst one of the sport's greatest. His 45 pole positions, ranks third behind F1 legends like Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna. Vettel's 2014 wage list reads 16 million Euros (21.71 million US Dollars).

#3. Jenson Button (McLaren)

British racer Jenson Button is 3rd on our list of highest paid F1 drivers. The Somerset born racer won the Formula One World Championship in 2009 with Brawn GP. Following the buy-out of Brawn by Mercedes, Button joined McLaren in 2010 and still plies his trade for them. The Brit is set to earn an estimated 16 million Euros in wages this year.

#2. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes)

Hamilton finished his debut season with Mercedes in 2013 at 4th in the drivers list and is eyeing hitting better form. The Stevenage-born racer ended 2nd in the 2007 Drivers' Championship to Kimi Raikonnen, only to bounce back stronger next season and clinch the title. The 29-year-old is now looking to earn 20 million Euros in wages this year.

Formula One veteran Fernando Alonso is first on this list of F1 highest wage earners in 2014. El Nano was crowned the youngest Driver's Champion at 24 years and 58 days of age in 2005. The record was eventually vertaken by Sebastian Vettel. With consecutive championships in 2005,06 and 96 podium finishes in a 13-year-long career, the Spaniard is arguably one of the sport's greatest. The 32-year-old will be making 20 million Euros in wages this year.
