Belgium international coach Marc Wilmots has reportedly advised Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard to join the club’s Champions League quarter-final victims Paris Saint Germain.

The Metro quote Wilmots as telling his international charge that a move to PSG would propel him into the category of top players in the world, adding fuel to the fire suggesting that Hazard could move on.

While Chelsea will be loath to lose their prized asset, who has made no noises about angling for a move, PSG have been publicly courting Hazard for much of the season and could be readying a summer bid for the Belgian.

Should a move materialise, Wilmots believes that Hazard should take it, telling French media that:

“It’s an opportunity to be taken into serious consideration if he wants to be part of the category of players who make the difference.

“It’s time to raise his level. Hazard and Ibrahimovic are two different players – but highly complementary.”

Hazard has scored 14 goals in his 33 Premier League appearances. His 87 chances created is the highest in the division, with seven of those chances ending up as assists, while his 122 completed take ons also represents the highest in the Premier League.

Hazard has gone past his man every 23 minutes this season.
