Kolkata giants East Bengal Club under coach Trevor Morgan have once more worked in the transfer period with the strategy to fill in positions of players who left the club and strengthen the bench for the assignments in the season ahead. The team lost players like Tolgay Ozbey, Nirmal Chetri and Sandip Nandy; but on the other side gained players like Abhijit Mondal, Jaspal Singh Parmar, Arnab Mondal, Lalrindika Ralte, Ishfaq Ahmed and Chidi Edeh.
