Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has hinted at a possible move away from the Etihad Stadium. Earlier on Sunday, Nasri featured in Manchester City’s 3-1 against West Ham coming off the bench for a cameo of 15 minutes. However, he managed to impress Pep Guardiola in the short amount of time afforded. Despite the recall and applause from his manager, Nasri feels he could exit the Premier League club after five years at the club.

Samir Nasri admitted to the speculation of his move since being criticised on his return to Manchester City squad before the pre-season training. He added that there is no hindrance to his stay at the club, although there is a possibility of his transfer before the window shuts on August 31st. Nasri believes he would be able to make up his mind only after a word with the manager.

"Yes, there could still be movement," Nasri said. "It depends on a lot of things in fact.

"There's been a lot of speculation. Things that are true. Things that are false too because they've never shown me the door or anything like that.

"But I said 'everything depends on what's up there [in your head] and your desire'. So we'll see. We're going to sit down, discuss it and see what's to be done."

The Frenchman was slated by his own fans on the social media for returning to Manchester City pre-season training overweight. Pep Guardiola had to banish the midfielder from their squad to China, however, he later praised Nasri for getting back into shape. In response, Nasri seems to have ignored his critics as he claims he knows how to overcome getting pilloried.

"I was a little out of shape and then I worked a lot," Nasri said of his preseason.

"I let people talk. I simply concentrated on what I know what to do best and that's on the pitch.

"For a few weeks now, things have been going really well with the coach. He decided to call on me today and I tried to show him on the pitch."

Samir Nasri came off the bench against West Ham and made an instant impression with sharp movement on the field and clever passes. He was close to scoring two goals, while he also set up David Silva for his shot which hit the post. After the match Pep Guardiola revealed his interest in keeping the midfielder, however, has left it to Nasri to decide his own future at the club.
