Premier League fixtures for 2015/16 released; Manchester United host Tottenham on opening day

Premier League fixtures have been released

The fixtures for the 2015/16 Premier League season have been released, with Manchester United hosting Tottenham in the biggest opening day fixture. In what will be an interesting match, Liverpool visit Stoke, in a repeat of their last game last season, which the Merseyside club lost 5-1.

The other interesting matches on the first day, i.e. the 8th of August are defending Champions Chelsea hosting Swansea and Manchester City travelling to West Bromwich Albion in what would be a tough match-up, while Arsenal will welcome West Ham to the Emirates Stadium in a London derby.

All the matches will start at 3 PM British time unless specifically stated otherwise (7.30/ 8.30 PM IST, depending on daylight savings).

From a look at the fixtures, Liverpool have a tough schedule as their first seven away matches include trips to City, United, Chelsea and Arsenal. Chelsea have a relatively easy schedule, with their biggest match in the first few weeks being against Manchester City.

Manchester United will have a tough October, as they face Everton, Arsenal and Manchester City on consecutive weekends, while Arsenal have only one big match in their first few weeks – against Liverpool. The first really big match of the season will be when Manchester City host Chelsea, on the 15th of August.
