If you thought Paris St Germain’s stalking of Chelsea’s team would come to an end soon, then you were wrong, as now Branislav Ivanovic has appeared on the French giants’ radar, according to the Daily Mail.

The Parisians have already signed David Luiz from the Blues this summer after agreeing a £40million fee for the Brazilian utility man, and they have also been strongly linked with moves to a number of other first team players at Stamford Bridge, with Eden Hazard, Oscar and Petr Cech all rumoured targets of PSG.

Now Ivanovic has been linked with a move to the French capital, with Laurent Blanc reportedly willing to sanction a £15m bid for the Serbian defender, who can play anywhere across the back four.

Ivanovic still has two years to run on his contract with Chelsea and would like to tie himself to the Blues for the remainder of his career, but despite his lengthy service to the club, Chelsea are not willing to discuss a new deal, as Ivanovic is now 30 years of age.

Chelsea will not offer deals any longer than one year to players over the age of 30 and therefore would be unwilling to start negotiations until next summer, with Jose Mourinho aware that he needs to reduced the average age of his squad.

PSG could take advantage of the deterioration in relations between club and player to launch a £15m bid in the hope he could be tempted to join their ambitious project to make a serious challenge for the Champions League.
