Russian side FC Rostov’s shocked German champions Bayern Munich with a spirited performance as they downed their far superior opponents by 3 goals to 2. It is probably the shock of the season so far and it just puts more pressure on Carlo Ancelotti after their derby defeat to Dortmund during the weekend.
This puts Atletico Madrid in control of the group and Munich might have to settle for second place. Bayern took the lead through Douglas Costa but Rostov equalised 9 minutes later. Rostov then went ahead but the Bavarian giants pegged them back almost immediately.
Then they took the lead with a delightful free-kick that decided the result. Twitter absolutely went wild as they trolled Bayern for this humiliating result:
