Tottenham Hotspur 0 – 5 Liverpool
Luis Suarez was the star of the show yet again, as Liverpool decimated 10 man Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane. Paulinho received a straight red for a high and late tackle on Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan scored two, and provided two, as the Merseysiders put in a five star performance. Liverpool move to second in the table, 2 points behind leaders Arsenal, while Spurs languish in seventh.
Manchester City 6 – 3 Arsenal
Manchester City continued their magnificent form at home, putting 6 past the league leaders – Arsenal. The Manchester outfit were in cruise control, as Aguero scored an early goal to give them the lead. Alvaro Negredo doubled the lead soon after, completing a delightful move. Brazil mid-fielder, Fernandinho scored a brace, as they topped off a memorable win. However, Sergio Aguero limped off soon after the start of the second half, to make the win bitter-sweet. Manchester City are in fourth place, 3 points behind the leaders, Arsenal.
Aston Villa 0 – 3 Manchester United
The Red Devils secured a much needed victory away from home, against Aston Villa. Danny Welbeck took his opportunity in the absence of Robin Van Persie, scoring a brace. Wayne Rooney pulled the strings in mid-field, and threaded a beautiful ball to Tom Cleverly for the third goal. This eases the pressure on David Moyes, as he sees his side jump a place in the standings, to 8th. Villa on the other hand, stay at 11th.
Chelsea 2 – 1 Crystal Palace
Chelsea limped past Crystal Palace as they saw off the bottom of the table side by the narrowest of margins. Fernando Torres scored the first goal of the game, however, re-invigorated Maruone Chamakh equalised soon after. Brazil mid-fielder Ramires scored a scorcher, which proved to be enough for the win, eventually. Chelsea stay abreast the leaders, in third only two points away from the leaders, Arsenal. Crystal Palace, however, are at the wrong end of the table, in 18th.
Everton 4 – 1 Fulham
Roberto Martinez’s side go from strength to strength as the beat Fulham at home by 4 goals to 1. Leon Osman opened the scoring in the first half, after great trickery on the edge of the box. However, Dimitar Berbatov equalised in the second half through a well taken penalty, which was awarded in controversial circumstances. Seamus Coleman finished off a breath-taking move to give his team the lead, and eventually went on to score two more to secure a comfortable victory. Everton keep the pressure on, as they lie in 5th, just 4 points off the summit. Fulham are staring down the barrel, as they fight in 19th.
