And this time, he’s back to talking about football – to explain the concept of English football on an American TV talk show hosted by David Letterman.
As Letterman quizzes him about how the various leagues like the Premier League and Championship are structured, Oliver explains in his usual sarcastic and humourous manner how the English football hierarchy works, why top teams never get relegated and why Americans will never understand English football.
Oliver mentions how he always dreamed of becoming a professional football player and how comedy was Plan B. But John, just so you know, there are 20 teams in the Premier League, not 19.
